Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) handled 2.46 million passengers in July 2026, according to the airport company’s latest traffic report. That was around 95,000 more travellers than in July 2025, representing an increase of four percent.
31 July was the busiest day
The busiest day of the month was Friday, 31 July 2026, when 88,381 passengers used BER. The figures reflect the strong level of travel during the summer holiday period.
Aircraft movements and air freight
Around 17,000 aircraft took off or landed at BER during July. This was 0.6 percent fewer movements than in the same month of 2025.
Air freight totalled 4,532 tonnes, a decrease of 6.4 percent compared with July of the previous year.
Planning a journey to or from BER
Passengers travelling during busy holiday periods should check their flight status, terminal, airline check-in requirements and baggage rules before leaving. Waiting times and operational details can change, so sufficient time should be allowed for the journey and airport procedures.
A pre-booked private transfer can provide a direct journey between BER and a hotel, home or business address in Berlin. When booking, travellers should provide the correct pickup time, passenger and luggage numbers, and their flight number where available.
