Berlin Freedom Week will return for its second edition from 7 to 14 November 2026. The citywide programme will focus on freedom, democracy and human rights through conferences, cultural events and public dialogue.
The event is intended for Berlin residents and international visitors. Activities will take place at different locations across the city, with the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall providing an important historical context.
Berlin Freedom Week 2026 dates
The second Berlin Freedom Week will run from Saturday, 7 November, to Saturday, 14 November 2026.
The full programme will include events organised by participating institutions throughout Berlin. Visitors should check the official programme before travelling because venues, admission requirements and event times may differ.
Berlin Freedom Conference on 10 November
The central Berlin Freedom Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 November 2026, at the Colosseum film theatre.
The conference will bring together participants from politics, business, civil society, culture and the media to discuss international cooperation, democratic values and responses to authoritarianism.
A citywide programme for residents and visitors
Planned formats include conferences, discussions, cultural events, exhibitions and opportunities for public participation at locations across Berlin.
The first Berlin Freedom Week in 2025 included around 170 events at 90 venues and attracted more than 10,000 visitors from over 60 countries. Detailed information for the 2026 edition will be published through the official event channels.
Planning travel between event locations
Because events will take place at multiple venues, visitors should check each location, starting time, admission conditions and current public transport information before departure.
Additional travel time may be necessary for evening events, fixed appointments or journeys between venues. A pre-booked Berlin transfer can be arranged using the pickup address, event location, passenger count and required arrival time.
