Wizz Air will add a new direct service between Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Sofia in autumn 2026. The first flight is scheduled for 20 September 2026.
The airline plans four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The service gives passengers another airline option for direct travel between Berlin and the Bulgarian capital.
When the BER to Sofia flights begin
The new Wizz Air service is scheduled to start on Sunday, 20 September 2026. Flights are planned four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flight times and operating details may change. Passengers should therefore check the current airline timetable before booking and again before travelling to the airport.
Another direct option between Berlin and Bulgaria
Sofia is already connected directly with BER by other airlines. The addition of Wizz Air increases the choice of airlines and weekly departures available on the route.
The connection can be used for leisure, family and business travel between the German capital region and Bulgaria.

Travellers should confirm the flight time, departure terminal, check-in deadline and baggage conditions before travelling to BER Airport.
Enough time should be allowed for the journey to the airport, baggage drop-off, security control and the walk to the departure gate.

Road traffic and changes to public transport can affect the time required to reach BER. Passengers with early departures, additional luggage, children or fixed appointments should include an appropriate time reserve.
