Fixed fares between BER and Berlin

The fare is per car and covers the whole party, in both directions. It is agreed before you travel, so a jam on the A113 does not change it.

Two vans cost the same and differ where it matters at the kerb: the Vito swallows seven suitcases, the Proace four. Enter your luggage when you book and only the cars that can take it are offered.

What the fare covers

Nothing is added afterwards — no tolls, no airport approach fee, no VAT on top, no booking fee.

  • The driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a name sign and carries your luggage to the car.
  • We watch your flight number, so a delayed landing moves the pickup instead of costing you the ride.
  • Waiting is free for 60 minutes from the actual landing time at the airport, and for 15 minutes at an address in the city.
  • Child seats and boosters are free — say how many and what ages when you book.
  • No night, weekend or holiday surcharge: three in the morning on New Year's Day costs what the same ride costs at noon in March.

Addresses beyond the city

Inside Berlin the fixed fare applies. Further out — Potsdam, Oranienburg, Leipzig, Dresden, the Baltic coast — the price is calculated from the distance for the exact address you enter, and you see the amount before you pay, not after the ride.

From 45 kilometres the calculation switches to the intercity rate, which is lower per kilometre than the city one. No class is ever quoted below its fixed BER-Berlin fare, so a short hop out of town cannot end up cheaper than the same car into the centre.

Waiting, extra stops and bulky luggage

Beyond the free period, waiting costs 44.85 € per hour. In practice it matters in two situations, and bulky items matter for a different reason.

  • A long wait at the airport while the whole party clears passport control.
  • An intermediate stop you ask the driver to make on the way.
  • Skis, golf bags, bicycles, instruments, a wheelchair or a pram — declare them when booking, because they decide which car we send. Any surcharge appears in the quote before you pay.

Booking and payment

Book at least 12 hours before the pickup. Payment is by card at the time of booking.

  • The voucher with the driver's name, the car and the meeting point arrives by email straight afterwards.
  • It is also kept in your account, under My bookings.
  • The receipt shows German VAT and works as a business expense.
  • Cancellation and refund rules are set out in our terms.

Why this is not a taxi fare

Every ride is a pre-booked hire car with a driver — Mietwagen mit Fahrer under section 49 of the German Passenger Transport Act. That is a different licence from a taxi: we cannot be hailed on the street or picked up from a taxi rank, and every journey has to be ordered in advance.

The practical difference is the price. Berlin taxi fares are set by the city and run on a meter, so a jam on the A113 makes the ride more expensive. Ours is agreed before you travel and stays as agreed.

How much does a transfer from BER to Berlin cost?

A fixed 85 € in a standard car, 95 € in a van for up to seven passengers, 120 € in the E-Class, 140 € in the V-Class and 150 € in the S-Class. The same fares apply from the city to the airport.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car. Four people travelling together to Mitte pay 85 € in total, not each.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number and move the pickup to the actual landing time. Waiting is free for 60 minutes from the moment the aircraft lands.

Do you charge extra at night or on holidays?

No. There is no night, weekend or holiday surcharge, and no fee for luggage, child seats, tolls or the airport approach.

How far in advance do I need to book?

At least 12 hours before the pickup, so a driver and the right car are assigned to you.

How is the price calculated outside Berlin?

By distance for the address you enter, with the intercity rate applying from 45 kilometres. The exact amount is shown before you pay, and it is never below the fixed BER-Berlin fare for that class.
